I watched it. Spoilers may be below, but I'll cut them as best I can!

So I didn't know anything about the movie going into it. I saw the first one, I saw Avengers - but yeah I followed along great and I thought it was a fine movie. Good times!

I have to say, I had a bit of a surreal experience though. There are many scenes that take place here in London, so I was watching with the hometown crowd, lol. I've never had that before. I've never watched a movie in a city that was actually part of a movie. So when all the little nods to London happened, everyone laughed and got the in-joke (like, yeah, every Londoner has done THAT lol), and I don't think you'd get that same sort of reaction from audiences in other cities. I was glad to have experienced that.

Okay so, what was the deal with themid-credit scene? I thought maybe it was a joke and I was watching an old episode of Doctor Who or something. The set and props looked very cheap, the pink painted lady was very green lady from Star Trek - even the frame rate looked like I was watching on a PAL tv or something. I'm pretty sure the Aether was just a black box with red tape on it. I did a bit of research and read that a different director shot it and it was included against the film director's wishes. But nothing ever seems to mention the lack of quality in this scene. I'm sure I didn't imagine it....

If anyone here watches it and notices this too, let me know that I'm not crazy, please.

the scene has a more comic feel than the movie, I think. It looks like it's straight out of comic book pages. The mid-credit scenes usually aren't shot by the same director (Joss for example did the end scene of the first Thor movie). I loved it because it is such a strong nod to the comics and set-up for the overall arc of Phase 2 and 3

yeah I totally get what they're doing with the leading in to the GotG and the Gauntlet and all that... it was jsut the execution.. seemed so ... low budget

it probably was. MarvelDisney is notoriously stingy with budget
