So it's Thanksgiving Weekend here in the Great White North, so I made pies. My pumpkin pies bring all the bitches the yard! Get outta my yard, you bitches! So, three pies: two for the big dinner tomorrow and one for the gang tonight whilst we do our weekly "Drink beer, each chips, watch 'Merlin'" extravaganza. Good times!

Great question! Turns out that Canada used to celebrate Thanksgiving in early November, but it ended up being the same week as Remembrance Day on the 11th, so in the 1950's parliament said to celebrate in October (no Columbus Day here)

Oh, ok.

IDK when I'd like it better...you get turkey earlier, but I think it's the only federal holiday in fall, at least that I get off. Darn Chicago libraries are closed today for Columbus day, but we have to work *sigh*
