"Ich Hatt Einen Kameraden" - Announcement
Mar. 11th, 2011 11:07 pm Well, It's been awhile, eh? Hey, I've been busy!
I've been working hard on my comic. And finally I've hit the point where I can say that there will be no abandoning. It will be 6 pages (52 panels) long with a few extras.
Currently, everything is drawn. First two pages are inked. Colouring to follow.
If fates allow, it will be ready to post up in May 2011.
Well, okay then... so...
*drumroll*
I am pleased (and scared shitless) to announce my WW2 AU comic inspired by the BBC's "Merlin" entitled, "Ich Hatt Einen Kameraden"

You can click on the image to make it bigger, if necessary.
So, right off the bat, I'd like to say that art in the actual comic will not be as grand as this little teaser, but will be on par with my other comics. I just wanted to go all out for this faux "cover".
Also, just throwing this out there before you get too excited - it WILL CONTAIN Major Character Death and Battlefield Related Violence. Thought you ougtta know.
You ever get that feeling that you just jinxed something?...... lé sigh....

Date: 2011-03-19 12:06 pm (UTC)I'm sorry, maybe "hatte", not "hatt"?

Date: 2011-03-19 06:18 pm (UTC)And while you're right - the few online translators I've looked at don't recognize "hatt" and say "hatte=had/have", I'm pulling the title straight from the Volkstrauertag song of the same name and all searches on the title of the song have it as "hatt". It's even etched in stone at war memorials.
I don't know why there's a discrepancy but, considering the subject matter, I'm not going to argue with war memorials, LOL!
Thanks again for your comment and your help!
And if anyone knows what's up with the apostrophe after "hatt" in the song title (at least on the wikipedia article), let me know! That's been bugging me for months!

Good luck in work!
apostrophe?
