Creator Notes:

This is my submission for Camelot Remix 2015! Either I was in such excitement to finally be able to use my signature graphic, or blame it on the pregnancy brain, I accidently posted it signed, instead of anonymous, LOL!

 When I first saw this summary-less piece over on AO3, I thought it would be a great chance to draw BAMF!Merlin riding a pimped out, BAMF, druidic war reindeer or something. But then I remembered seeing the piece during the Art-Fest Advent Calendar, and there it had a summary in which Arthur was gazing out of the window, restless, waiting for Merlin to return home. I thought, hmm, was Merlin expected back sooner? What could be holding him up? Is Arthur worried? And so this piece happened, with Merlin solo-questing and getting in over his head.

I also picked this one because my remixee seemed to lament running out of time and how the northern lights turned out in the original. It’s a fantastic concept!

Gorgeous. I love the northern lights in the last one and the script in the first one really set it up well. Merlin is great, too, with the blue giving a sense of cold. Wonderful.

Thanks D!!! Yeah I realized that I had to have it take place in the dark of night, and that presented LOTS of colour challenges! But it turned out, so I'm happy ^__^

Haha yes, I didn't comment when it was published, because of the signature... I couldn't comment as if you were Anon, but I couldn't reveal who you were either ^^

Anyway, I loved this fancomic. Comics are the best, but so difficult to make, so kudos just for being able to make it, and make it so well !
I loved the frozen mood, the Aurora, the emotion in Merlin's poses and expressions... Now I just want to know the whole story behind this ^^

Love it! The frost and icing is amazing. The third panel is my favourite, with Cernunnos nudging/breathing on Merlin. I love the special touches -- the beadwork, the slump of Merlin's body.

Along with everything else I love about this (which is pretty much all of it; the frost, the colors, the layout, Merlin's memory of that last conversation slowly getting jumbled as he succumbs to the cold, the glowing eyes), have I told you that I love the glowing runes on the antlers?
