RVBB is worrying. I had 4 writers at the start, but only 2 now. No official "I've dropped out" notification, so I dunno. Same with ACBB, actually.. no word from my writer there either... might be first time in 4 years i have no contribution to the Merlin Big Bang - LÉ GASP!

I was hoping for something not owned by a company, if that makes sense. Before, I was mooching off a writer's extra web storage on her own website. I just like not having my images being sold out from under me to Google/Facebook/Getty etc.... and sites that dont care if I post teh pornz LOL

I actually use photobucket because it has no restrictions for rating and the privacy settings work fine.
I don't know any private accounts sorry :/
I know it's owned by companies, but there are dropbox and box that could work, at least if you don't find something before the week?

Photobucket doesnt look too bad. There are some things in the ToS that make me side-eye it.

"Photobucket may moderate Content. However, we are not responsible for what you have uploaded and we are under no obligation to modify or remove any inappropriate Content. We have provided some tools on the Site, such as links to "flag as inappropriate," so you can let us know if you find Content offensive."

sounds like if Peter Prude looks at my art and goes "oh no lé gays!" he can flag my shit as inappropriate. But they say they have no obligation to do anything about it, so what does flagging do anyways? It's very confusing.

and stuff like THIS always gives me the heebie jeebies:

I just host all my stuff at DeviantArt, but I know that for content reasons you're reluctant to do that. :/ I don't know anyone with their own server, more's the pity, or I'd host my stuff there too!

I was thinking about that, yeah - seeing as I'm paying for my LJ anyways, may as well exploit the photo hosting... jsut... like, I have 321 files.... overwhelmed LOL! It'll be a last resort for sure!

To be honest, it's what I use and I don't even have a paid account any more, lol. And I know it can upload multiple files at once. The only thing I dislike is that it changes the file name. :/

Sounds like the issues Cello has with dA's sta.sh -- ugh! Nice to know you dont need a paid account to use the photo sharing though!

Yeah, I have about 360 MB, which isn't bad for a free hosting service. Plus, I find it I don't have problems going over bandwidth like Photobucket does?

EDIT: Correction, I've used 360 MB so far, which is about 35% of my storage space? So yeah, plenty of room for uploads. Turns out you get 1GB for the Plus accounts.
