(Recognizing Arthur's rank, Merlin insults him in German, "Hauptmann" (german for Captain) "Heinie" (A derogatory term the allies used for Germans, originating from the slang for 'Arse' and the popular German name "Heinrich"... Merlin basically calls him "Captain Arse")
Arthur: "I... *ahem*... Thank you..."
(Arthur knows that Merlin insulted him and returns the favour by insulting him in English the exact same way - rank, derogatory name)
